Simply place glass straws upright in the silverware basket in the dishwasher on a standard program with your daily wash and HALM drinking straws will be sparkling clean from top to bottom. Cleaning glass straws can be compared to cleaning any standard glassware like a drinking glass. If there is no cutlery basket, glass straws can also be placed individually on the rods or simply in the cutlery drawer laying down.

In each of our glass straws packages, you will find a plastic-free cleaning brush. HALM glass straw cleaning brushes are specially designed by us to ensure manual cleaning is simple, whether at home or out and about. Depending on the length of the HALM glass straw set you have purchased, you will find a matching brush to fit the correct length of your straws.
Our brushes are particularly suitable for stubborn dirt and dried-up organic material. For stubborn organic material, we recommend first soaking the glass straws in a hot soapy water bath and then cleaning with the brush provided. If you need more cleaning brushes, you can easily order them here.

We also offer a silverware basket that fits up to 80 Glass Straws to make cleaning your reusable straws the most simple experience. Additionally, any commercial dishwasher will work or any cutlery basket is suitable for cleaning glass straws.
In the case of stubborn dirt, we recommend collecting and soaking glass straws in a soapy water bath beforehand.
